All Things Digital D7 conference was stunned when the search giant Yahoo’s CEO Carol Bartz said to the media that the company is still doing great and it still overpowers or outperforms Google in key areas. Bartz admitted that Google was the leader when it comes to search and maps but he defended that yahoo had a better reach and position in the midst of the crowd. He also added that Yahoo aims to be more personal to people and it is the place where people come to be informed about the latest info.

When asked about the MicroSoft’s bid, Bartz said that the company is ready to sacrifice its search business if the company id ready to offer a huge some and come with the right technology. It is a known fact that both companies are still meeting up and deciding on this deal and there is also a speculation that Microsoft’s LiveSearch is nothing but Yahoo’s search. He also spoke about the company’s future growth plans and said that the company was targeting the hyper-market by revealing information that are more personal to people.
