Voice Search: Google’s Next Thing to Focus

While revealing about its few plans in the coming days, Google has said thatGoogle Voice Search voice search would be its core business in the coming days and it’s planning to expand its function in the coming days. These are some details that Google revealed at the Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco.

At present, the voice search option has been made available to cell phone users only. The giant has named the app as Google Mobile App and currently it is available for the iPhone as well as for other Android based phones.

The new app has been based on a service that Google trialled almost six years back, and it allows users to make a Google query with a phoning up a number.

While using on the BlackBerry Pearl, it will also be made available for Google Maps.

The first version of this app had some problems regarding recognizing different accents and thus, it was nearly unworkable for many.

However, Google has been making changes in this app since its launch and now according to Google, it is available in various accents.

Google’s Vice President, Vic Gundotra says while talking to reporters that they want to take the new service further, as voice search is core to their business right now that is growing with an awesome pace right now.
