In the world of camcorders and cameras, it is becoming highly difficult for
one to choose what to buy and what should be avoided. These days, markets are filled with such products, and every brand name has released its own innumerable similar products. Recently, Sony has come up with a camcorder style having different colors like orange, silver and purple. It is high definition camcorder with a 2.5” LCD named Sony Webbie HD MHS-CM1.
There are two recording resolutions available with this camcorder, and one can choose according to their own ease and priorities. On of these two resolutions is Standard Definition i.e. 640×480/30p, and the other is High Definition which is 1440×1080/30p or 1280×720/30p. Therefore, either you can shoot your videos in standard resolution mode, or if you want better resolution and high definition videos, you can choose the latter one.
Low light situations have always been a problem while shooting a video, or capturing a photo. Images are not clear enough in low light situations. This problem is solved in Webbie HD MHS-CM1 with the help of an integrated LED light. Simply by switching on its light, low light situation can be taken care of, and bright images will be captured and recorded. Choosing this option is best in parties etc.
Talking about the zooming feature, there is both an Optical zoom and a Digital zoom available in Webbie. There is a 5x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom, which can be used according to the users own choice, when the object to be filmed or captured is not quite near to the shooter.
There are five modes provided by this camcorder for advanced video recording, which are Sports, Landscape, Low Light, Backlight and Auto. Most of the users use the auto mode, but those who want to get a bit professional use the other modes, also.
As the name suggests, it is web-friendly. It uploads your images directly to video sharing websites like YouTube. It has a built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery.
Pros:
Bright and eye catching outer cover colors
Affordable price
Cons:
Small LCD
Uncomfortable to hold
Software doesn’t support MAC
Overall, the webbie is quite a fine option, as it is cheap in price and comes in beautiful colors.
