Sony Revealed an Exciting New Ultra Thin Rollable OLED Display

Sony Rollable OLED Display

The trend of bringing innovative products into the international electronics industry has not been very old but Sony has showed up really a very exciting new product internationally. Recently Sony has revealed a new OLED display that is so ultra thin that you can easily roll it on a rod, just imagine a display that lets you perform all your work and then you can easily roll it in just like a piece of paper.

According to the company’s claims this display can be rolled to a diameter of just 4mm while showing moving pictures, this is one of the most exciting gadget ever released by Sony and this new screen is just 80μm thin and you can imagine the small size with this information that human hair is about 100μm.

The screen that was shown in the video released by Sony shows that the resolution of the screen is up to 432 x 240 and also supports 16 million colors, other information provided shows that it carries a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and the brightness is 100nits. It has not yet been announced that which of the Sony’s device is going to get this amazing innovation of technology, it can be expected to be a pen computer with rollable screen or any kind of Ereader just like Kindle.
