Sony’s Cyber shot DSC H50 was released in May 2008. This is a 9.2 mp cyber
shot camera for still photography as well as video recording. With the optical image stabilization and effective flash range of up to 30 ft, this camera promises a great quality experience of photography.

Being just under a pound, this is surely a light weight camera, which can be hanged around neck, or can be held in one’s hands with the help of attached straps. The camera features a zoom rocker switch, a context sensitive Menu button, a Home button to give easy access to settings, a wheel dial, directional pad and an ok button.
It has a 3 inches LCD screen which can be tilted, and gives an enhanced access to objects present at different levels. Some intelligent features are also there like smile shutter, face detection and an easy mode. The Advanced Sports Shooting Mode offers to capture moving objects quite easily. One can even zoom while shooting the video.
It showed quite well performance while burst shots, while the performance level was not high while checking time to first shot, typical shot to shot time and shutter lag.
