Brand new Palm Pre is expected to be that long awaited product which can pull Palm out of the dilemma of being far behind other manufacturers. Not only this, but Pre is anticipated as the real and genuine competitor of iPhone.

Pre is an up to date Touchscreen mobile phone. The user interface of this smart phone is very easy to use and smooth. Perhaps the user interface and the operating system are most important and highlighted features of Palm Pre. The effort Palm put into making it is apparent by using it. “Deck of Cards” lets the user scroll or navigate through many applications and choose from them accordingly. Synergy accumulates all the mailing accounts, calendar info and contact address book at one place, so that you can easily navigate through it.

The multi Touchscreen is fun to use. There is a gesture area where one can touch and swipe to launch toolbars, applications, menus, etc. A wonderful feature is the slide out full QWERTY keyboard, which is though small, but the keys are nicely spaced so as to avoid typos. Touchscreen is quite responsive to touches, and web pages can be zoomed in and out with a pinching gesture just like iPhone.

Pre

The web browser is pretty nice. A 3 mp camera is an addition, though video recording is not included. One can buy their music from Amazon Music Store, as Palm has partnered with it.

With 8GB of storage, Pre can afford quite a large mass of stuff stored in it. Pre still has to come out; it has only been announced yet. Undoubtedly, the phone is being anticipated quite much these days. All the Touchscreen lovers will have to wait until the phone releases.
