Netbooks VS Notebooks

In the changing world of technology we have came across many Netbooks and Notebooks and many people are still confused among both of them. Some people have even claimed that they don’t exactly know that their needs are requiring a netbook or notebook. Below I am going to tell you the basic theme of these two classes and in what manner they are different from each other. They are mostly light in weight and have more battery life than the notebook. And the Notebook is a multipurpose computer they can create contents and handle multi-tasking loads with many applications running at a time. This is a basic overview of these two types of computers and below I am going to give the detail difference between these two computers.

Size and weight

Netbooks are relatively smaller in size with a display screen measuring about 7 to 12 inches and the notebooks have the screen size of about 12 to 17 inches. Like the work of a Notebook it has a large weight and size and thus sometimes become difficult to carry in the daily routine.

Task Handling

The task handling of Notebook is very much better than the netbook because of its better technical specifications and it is also a fact that notebook can handle multi-level tasks at a time but netbook can’t do this. Other than multiple applications notebook can handle heavy applications that can’t be handle by the Netbooks. So notebook is better in task handling than the netbook.

Software

The netbook has many limitations for the latest version of windows and Linux as it needs extra power to run vista and windows 7. This limitation has left netbook back from the notebook as there is no software limitation for any kind of window’s version.

Graphics

It is been noticed that the graphics of the netbook are quite lame when concerned for playing games as the lower screen and normal graphic card can’t facilitate you with superb graphics and here notebook is also leading as its graphic card and screen both are better than that of netbook.

Processor/Speed

The speed of netbook is slower as compared to the notebook and this is because the processor integrated the netbook is not capable to run heavy JavaScript files like YouTube. While the notebook is pretty efficient in all this and due to this it has got a better speed than the netbook.

Price

Due to better facilitation of notebook it is very costly as compared to the netbook which is available in the market for about $400 and $800.

Battery Life

The battery life of both was same in the past but now they are competing with each other for battery life and it is expected that the notebook will again win the race from the small netbook.

From all the above comparison it is clear that the notebook are better than netbook in all regards either it is graphics or performance. The netbook with its smaller screen can be best utilize for online data transfer and communication for other high level tasks you need to have a notebook.
