Categories: Tech News Tags: microsoft, restricting applications for Windows 7, windows 7
Yesterday Microsoft opened some new issues related to Windows 7 in the company’s MIX 10 developers event in Las Vegas, the company declared that the native applications will not be allowed on the windows 7 phone device and the applications running in the Silverlight runtime environment or the game in the XNA game studio runtime will be allowed to run on Windows 7 mobile. Todd Brix, the senior director for Mobile platform services product management said all this while answering a question from a journalist Tim Anderson.
Thus Brix has thus made this confirmation that the two runtimes, Silverlight and XNA will be only acceptable for the applications of Windows 7 and other will not work here. This statement has not yet shown that will adobe be given the chance on Windows 7 devices or not, Brix just gave this statement that the company has no objection to Flash but the initial release of Windows phone 7 will not support it and latterly it can be used. When asked about the implementation of Adobe if native code is not supported, Brix declined to give any comment. Thus the restriction of Microsoft on the native applications shows that the company is going to bring a whole new form of operating system or the devices that will be totally different from other available now days.
