One of the most rumored services coming from the Facebook’s side has now got the official confirmation, we have been seeing the Facebook’s location based service’s speculation from the past many weeks and everyone was desperate to get this new gift from Facebook and finally it has been officially announced.

This feature is due to launch very shortly if the code found on their touch.facebook.com is any indication. Basically this report has been seen on TechCrunch and according to that a Facebook official stated that “There are currently no plans to add marketing partners to this product. We may consider working with marketers to enhance the experience in the future, but have no plans to do so at launch”, you should notice the words ‘product’ and ‘launch’ which are showing that something is going to come very soon.

The location based service is also confirmed by many market experts because it is right there in the code that is provided by touch.facebook.com version of the site, according to that there is a tab of places but that has not yet been enabled by Facebook and because of that errors are obtained by running that code. So these two things, the statement and the code are thus confirming a single feature ‘location based service’ and now the site is not very far from it.
