LG is one of those manufacturers that have enabled features that are notlg-dare even available in the highly popular iPhones. The LG Dare comes with those tricks that have never been tried before in any of the touchscreen phones available in the market today. You can now simply drag and drop the icons in order to make your own personalised shortcuts on the home screen or you can make use of the drawing pad to jot down ideas or even sketch the maps that could be sent as an MMS.

Features

The Dare is equipped with the 3.2 megapixel camera and also has the settings like face detection, panorama photo switching, SmartPic as well as noise reduction. Such features can give you the best possible results even while taking pictures in low light. The built-in camcorder would even record the high-speed video and can also play it in the slow motion. This is primarily introduced in all the phones of US. Hence this cannot be called the iPhone killer for the reason that it does not include the Wi-Fi and the web browser as well as the media player is not as good. On the whole, LG Dare is considered to be an extremely good alternative for all the Verizon customers who have always longed for a touchscreen phone. The LG Dare is priced competitively at $199 along with some more promotions.

Design

Just like the other touchscreen phones available in the market today, the design of this phone also includes the large displays that cover most of the phone’s surface. The visible keys happen to be on the front of the call, contains the Clear/Voice command and the end key on the extreme bottom. The phone is decorated with the steel border all around the sides and has a black soft touch on the rear that would enable a nice grip on the hands. The weight of the device is merely 3.76 ounces that gives a light but a solid feel to the phone.

Keyboard

Like most of the touchscreen phones, the Dare provides a QWERTY keyboard. We noticed that when we were scrolling the icons up and down, the touch interface is extremely sensitive and it takes a lot of time to adjust to the phone. However, dialling and texting is pretty simple even with this one being a touch-screen interface. There is a standard numeric keypad along with the shortcut to the recent calls list. During a call there are certain icons that appear in case if you wish to activate the speakerphone, mute button, Bluetooth headset and the voice record button.
