Lenovo is bringing a series of new strategies from the start of New Year and it has been seen that it has started thinking beyond Intel who is one of long-term partner of the company and now they have shifted their interest towards the new technologies. This change was noticed when Lenovo officially announced the release of its new business laptop called the Edge which is coming with the MD’s single-core and dual-core Athlon Neo and Turion Neo processors. The main reason behind this action seems that Lenovo is trying to bring some budget ThinkPad with Advance micro device’s processors.

According to the global marketing manager of Lenovo Charles Sune said that “ThinkPad Edge laptops will be priced between US$500 and $800”. The Specifications of these laptops have also been described and it seems that Lenovo is bringing some revolutionary new device into the international markets. Sune further discussed that “AMD provides us a lot of great price and performance in those lower price points”.  The AMD chips are also expected to be coming for some other devices coming from Lenovo which shows that Lenovo is all-together bringing change in its devices to get a great status in the international markets.
