This camcorder comes with a large Youtube label, and provides the optionJVC Everio GZ-MS100 of direct uploading of videos to the internet with one touch. It is a compact and small video recorder. With dimensions as small as 2.2 inches wide by 2.7 inches high by 4.4 inches deep and weight as light as 9.6 ounces only, it is smaller than other Everio G series hybrid camcorders. It has a trendy design, but the quality of recording does not depend upon design and beauty.

MS 100 is made of all plastic, but looks quite attractive. It has a 2.7” flip out LCD. The start and stop button for recording lies on the right side, snap shot button and the zoom rocker are on the top, and little flipping control at the left side of camcorder. There is a button that swaps between play and record just above that switch and below it rests the key to switch Auto and Manual modes. There are two more buttons for one touch upload and Direct DVD. Though this direct upload isn’t exactly Direct. You’ll have to go and sit in front of your Windows PC. There is a directional touch sensitive strip at the left of LCD, which lights up in blue color when touched. Five laser touch buttons lie beneath the display. File format is MPEG-2, and the storage option is SD/SDHC card. Overall results are just acceptable. There is no optical image stabilization, too.

JVC EverioPros:

Acceptable video quality for its class
Small and comfortable design

Manual controls

Cons:

Complicated menu navigation
Polarizing interface
Inadequate user guide

Uncertain Youtube friendliness

Only those consumers will like this machine that frequently need to upload videos to Youtube, but the rest who need to view their recorded files on a bigger TV screen too will be disappointed, as there is a lot of noise.
