Google Buzz
Google has launched a new exciting social networking service the ‘Google Buzz’ but unfortunately one day after its launch it has came under criticism and some new privacy concerns have been raised about its functioning. The issue which has been raised is that this application compiles a list of contacts to which the user more frequently contact via email or instant messaging and Buzz automatically starts following those people and makes the list public.
This issue was first of all noted by Silicon Alley insider and the statement which were given regarding this issue were “Imagine … a wife discovering that her husband emails and chats with an old girlfriend” and the web site further explained “Imagine a boss discovers a subordinate emails with executives at a competitor”
Though the Buzz shows information to those people who are using this application but the issue raised is a fact and some privacy should be implemented on it. The Buzz has been announced by Google as an alternative to Facebook and Twitter and the overall aim behind this application is quite good. Google has not yet given any comments regarding this issue but it is expected that they will address this thing very soon.
