Mozilla has launched its Firefox 3.1’s third beta version that has been also
named as Shiretoko. In the present race of making Web browsers more and more improved, this new browser is being considered as a frontrunner.
The release notes say that this new version will prove quite effective with its multiple abilities, Gecko rendering for faster and better web pages demonstration and with its TraceMonkey engine for more stable and faster execution of JavaScript program of some website.
Firefox is striving hard these days to prove its superiority over Google’s Chrome and Apple’s Safari 4 beta for an enhanced JavaScript feat a factor that is quite important for many new sophisticated websites like Facebook applications and Google Docs. When it comes to web browser market share, Internet Explorer has been ruling the roost for quite long time, while Firefox holds strongly at #2 position.
Earlier this year, Mozilla was expecting this third beta, as its final beta version but it had to change its plans afterward. According to this release, the next full launch is expected to be numbered as 3.5 because of changes magnitude in earlier betas.
According to Mozilla’s Mike Beltzner, “This increase in the nos. of this version has been made mere for the work volume that makes this new version something more than just a minute and incremental boost over Firefox3. Users will certainly find a lot more improvements in many aspects of the new version.”
