Blinkx Chalks deal with Miniweb for Service Integration in UK Set-top Boxes

To integrate the service in UK set-top boxes, renowned video search engine Blinkx has signed a deal with miniweb.

As video content is getting abundant on the web, Blinks is going to act like a mediator to allow you find your desired content on the web with the set-up boxes that are being claimed to provide such a nice web experience that you never tasted before.

Miniweb is not quite a well-known name in this connection, but its different

software have been placed in even in the set-top boxes from Sky and they were placed after a contract between the two last year.

Red Button which serves as Sky’s key TV system serves as an alternative of it and it’ s not known yet when Blinkx is going to appear on Sky platform.

According to Blinkx CEO, “The audiences will soon be able to access loads of diversified and rich video content with the help of this new technology which nicely combines broadband TV and broadcast.”

Blinkx seems to boast about 5m hrs online video and audio indexing on its website and we definitely need to wait to see how the new technology works in set-top boxes.”
