Asus first Eee was really a trendsetter in portable computing, as it seemed to do everything that one required on the move. After that there were lots of copycats, re-iterations and re-inventions that had higher prices tags and little bit additions.

They were not only others, but Asus has been diluting the laptop market with lots of Eee brand iterations. Let’s talk what it has and what not. It has a glossy plastic casing that has a large sticker that boasts about 9.5hr battery life for all day computing and it’s battery life that distinguishes it from somewhat lower price the 1000H.

Design:

It looks quite solid and sizeable with its 10.5×7.5×1.5-inch dimensions, glossy looks and lean trimmed shape. It has a larger keyboard than the previous version that makes typing a good experience.

Pros and Cons

• The machine lacks a really nice subwoofer.
• The trackpad is somewhat twitchy.
• No infrared and Mini PCI ports
• Backlit led screen seems quite crispy.
• Keyboard is a lot better than we have seen in the previous versions.

Performance

When it comes to performance, it’s second to none as we have seen in the previous versions of Eee, it gives you all what you expect from a best portable device though a price tag of $380 seems somewhat higher, it definitely deserves your money.
