Where is recession?

With $8.2b revenues and $1.2b net quarterly profits, Apple has just reported its best non-holiday Q2 financial results for 2009. The figures indicate that Apple has succeeded to mint more during this quarter compared to the same period last year. It was international sales that constituted almost 50% of the revenues during this quarter.

“We are very pleased to announce the best non-holiday quarterly results of our history that indicate our robust financial conditions in these days of worldwide economic gloom,” says Apple’s CFO Peter Oppenheimer.

Various hardware sales seemed to provide great financial support to these impressive results and the product that really served as the hot ticket was none other than the iPhone 3G who saw nearly 123% increase in sales.

The same upward trend was also noticed in iPod sales that saw three percent increase with 11m units’ sales.

However, 3 percent declined noticed in the sales of Mac computer that cost Apple nearly a half billion dollar loss compared to the same period last year.  Nearly 2.2m desktops and laptops were sold during the 2Q.

it was iTunes store that emerged as a real staggering performer for Apple during the 2Q. It’s revenue leaped to $1b with 20% increase.

The company is selling nearly 4000 iPhones daily and they are quite near to announce the sale of their billionth iPod Touch and iPhone app from the App Store.
