Sony has made its name in trendy and stylish laptops. There is no otherVaio VGN-FW351JH brand in the market which can compete with the beautiful looks of a Sony Vaio. The Vaio series of Sony is famous for its lustrous eye catching casings and soaring prices. Recently, Sony has added another brand new laptop in its Vaio series which looks as attractive as its predecessors.

Following are the detailed specifications of this new laptop:

  • 15” x 10.2” x 1.5”, 6.6 lb

  • Interfaces: 1 x Display / video, 4 x Hi-Speed USB, 1 x Microphone, 1 x Network – Ethernet, 1 x IEEE 1394 (FireWire), 1 x Modem, 1 x Audio / video

Why should you buy it?

The laptop has a Blu-ray drive, which is very rare yet. Not many computers are equipped with this feature. This is a main advantageous feature of this notebook.

As every other Vaio, this has also been designed beautifully.

There is a row of user defined multimedia keys on the top of the keyboard, also. This way, tour multimedia is easily controlled.

VGN-FW351JHWhy must you avoid it?

This laptop ranked last in the multimedia multitasking test, Adobe Photoshop CS3 image-processing test, and Apple iTunes encoding test; and stood second last in video payback battery drain test. Thus, it is a slow, rather poor performer.

The price as compared to the performance is very high.

Conclusion:

Pros and cons are in front of you, you must decide what you should do. $949 is way too mush for style and Blu-ray drive. If only Blu-ray is your concern you better get a PS3 for $399.
