A Proper iPhone Lock Finally out in the Market

Several people enjoying on the New Year’s Eve didn’t realise what the New
Year had in store for them. Besides all the resolutions of all kinds, it also bring with it an opportunity to unlock the iPhone 3G. However, such an application wasn’t developed overnight, but it is still being developed by a company called the Dev-Team and they have come up with a “yellowsn0w” unlock code that would also facilitate the use of other carriers with the iPhone.
Even when it is still in the 0.9 beta release, there are already reports about the handset being unable to locate the networks. On the other hand, a lot of users have reported a successful unlock of their phones. Along with, unlock has also proven to work with the latest iPhone version 2.2 of the firmware update. There have been a lot of cracks for the iPhone recently and some of them have actually disrupted the handset completely. Hence, there is a lot of speculation amongst the masses about this one. But the makers of this unlock claim that the users do no have to worry about bricking their handset.
Lastly, if we believe the blog, then it is still the beta version of the software and hence it clearly states that it should be tried at the owner’s risk. Hence, make sure you do not get attracted to this and end up upsetting your handset. Just a word of caution, it all remains on the users to judge the effectiveness of such an unlock code.
