A New Warning System for Suspicious Gmail Use Introduced By Google
The increased security threats in the internet world have leaded the online service providers to bring some new privacy actions for the protection of user’s data and the internet giant ‘Google’ is also working on this issue, the recent development from Google’s side is that they have introduced a new warning system for Gmail that will tell the users if his account has been used suspiciously.
The explanation of this new facility has been provided on the official blog of Google saying that “if it looks like something unusual is going on with your account, we’ll also alert you by posting a warning message saying, “Warning: We believe your account was last accessed from…” along with the geographic region that we can best associate with the access”.
The picture displayed above is also provided on the Google’s blog and from this you can see that the suspicious activity has been showed in quite a bold format to warn the user so that they get to know if their information is going in wrong hands. It was further said in the blog post that “Keep in mind that these notifications are meant to alert you of suspicious activity but are not a replacement for account security best practices” so the users should have some common sense if they want to protect their account from wrong access.
