The Nissan Murano comes with the vision that Nissan had seen even before2009-nissan-murano the crossover thing was thought about in the market before. It is pretty unusual for the vehicle today to actually gather up all the sales as it starts getting older in the market, but Nissan Murano begs to differ. The first model of Nissan Murano was introduced in the year 2004 and the sales have been increasing ever since and have reached almost 81,000 units in the year 2006. And now that Murano has successfully built up such a loyal client base, its time to carefully evolve, upgrade as well as improve the new 2009 Nissan Murano without compromising its way to accomplishment.

Improvements

Underneath the 2009 Nissan Murano, there is the same upgraded platform of the already existing 2008 Altima from the same manufacturer and the VQ series 3.5 litre V6 engine that was also the part of the Altima now delivers almost 265 horsepower in place of the 240 horsepower at the same time as the fuel capacity has become 18mpg in the city and 23mpg on the highways. Similar to the previous models, the Murano continues to have the same variable transmission and are well accepted in the market considering the ever-increasing fuel prices. The shift control software in this vehicle has been upgraded and has proven to give faster results by 30%. Hence there is no manual shift mode in the car.

Attractive Interiors

Along with keeping the same curvaceous exterior that Murano is always known for, this upgraded version comes with attractive interiors as well. The materials that are being used in the 2009 Murano are exceptionally good and the colour schemes as well as the textures complement the overall design of the car and make it appear even more attractive. Murano this time has also gone a little further by revamping the electronics in the car as well and now we find the most important change in the audio that now comes with the Bose audio with as many as 11 speakers scattered all around the car. Apart from the radio, there is a satellite radio, an iPod interface as well as a DVD system. What attracts the most is the 20GB hard drive navigation system that works in real traffic and has 9.3GB memory exclusively allocated for the music.
